Precautions for Ultrasound Treatment

Ultrasound treatment is generally not recommended or requires special attention in the following cases:

  • Patients with metal near the treatment site, such as pacemakers or metal implants
  • Patients with tumors near the treatment site
  • Patients with skin allergies or infections near the treatment site

 

Ultrasound treatment is usually part of a comprehensive physical therapy program and should be combined with other treatment techniques to achieve the best rehabilitation outcomes.
